This camp site was started in the early 60’s when the 4-H club of Notre-Dame-du-Lac built 10 sites for small camping equipment. With time and investment, we now offer 153 sites from small tent to 45 feet motor home !

During the 70’s, the town of Norte-Dame-du-Lac proceeded with major changes, adding 20 sites with electricity, water and sewer systems.

The Chamber of Commerce moves the tourist information office to the municipal camping in the 80’s to maximise all the services.  This double vocations of the building still exist, as the rental office for the camp sites and the tourist information office share the same building.

During the 90 ‘s the town of Notre-Dame-du-Lac and the chamber of commerce proceed with a major expansion by purchasing 3 neighbouring properties on the south west side.  Adding another 55 sites, while a building is transformed in condominiums and another remains commercial rental.

In the fall of 2006 the town of Notre-Dame-du-Lac gives mandate to the Corporation du Centre Plein Air to administer and operate both camps  sites, the Marina and the beach.  Both sites now become one under the name of Camping Centre Plein Air Notre-Dame-du-Lac. Many changes brought to the spaces and improvements permitted us to expand and develop new sites to better accommodate our growing clientele.  We can now offer 153 sites varying from no service , to 3 services also we now have  50 amps electricity and 30 amps.  We also offer pull through sites and a couple of sites specifically for cyclist.
